EvadX limited have erected and fabricated all the steelwork on The Lauries Centre, Birkenhead. The centre is a £3 million facility in the centre of Birkenhead serving the community by delivering services and Facilities for local people. The design of the building reflects it’s prime location and the need for a landmark development to enhance the area. The centre will provide office space for up to eleven organisations who provide services to the community, a conference and function hall and a community café.
The building comprises of one 2-storey wing and one 3-storey wing which are joined together by the most prominent feature of this building, the kite looking atrium roof. This comprises of 3 lattice trussed frames, with roof pitches ranging from 33 degrees for the main scope to 58 degrees for the smaller frame which intersects into the main roof of the kite. The total hot rolled is just under 250 tonne and cold rolled is approximately 10 tonne.
