Evadx on top of Wales
Evadx are proud to have been chosen as the Main Steel Contractor for the New Summit Building on Snowdon.
The visitors centre will provide opportunities to learn more about Snowdon. It will provide weather information, advice on descent routes , washrooms and toilets as well as proving refreshments and shelter.
Off-site construction at the Corus site at Deeside has already begun. More than 100 tonnes of steelwork will then be taken apart and transported section by section up 3,560ft by the mountain railway to the summit. There are more than 2,500 bolts which will be holding the structure together in the high winds.
Our erection team will be erecting steel at the highest point in England and Wales which attracts 100mph winds and temperatures of minus 20C.
For more information please contact Andrew Roberts the Project Manager on this contract who has been working closely with the Engineer, Architect and Main Contractor, Carillion.
The mountain webcam will chart the progress from start to finish.
