Evadx "arrive" at Terminal 1, Manchester Airport
1st September 2005
Due to the ever-increasing popularity and success of Manchester Airport a new central development was required. This comprises of a new arrivals, customs and excise area for Terminal 1 and housing the installation of a new extra 7th reclaim belt area. The building is constructed out of a beam and column steel structure with the scope for future extensions above, clad with Kingspan horizontal cladding and aluminium ribbon windows around two sides. Also the introduction of a new airside baggage cover buildings which comprise of 2No mono pitched steel buildings which are joined together with a screen wall which runs under the road ramp to T1 multi storey car park.
“Just in time” delivery was a crucial factor in the erection of steelwork for Phase Two of the Arrivals at Terminal 1 in Manchester Airport. Evadx had a tough deadline on a tight site to erect the structural steelwork for the £6m project being undertaken Mace Limited.
