Benefits Of Using The Evadx A I R Acoustic Barrier System
Benefits of using the Evadx A.I.R. Acoustic Barrier System
The system considers a standard range of noise absorptive or noise reflective barriers manufactured incorporating a vertical ‘Z’ section integral panel structure, and interlocking patent applied for design, with the external finish either coated or galvanised and filled with application specific sound absorbent material, usually Class ‘o’ foam or various densities of mineral wool.
These acoustic barriers are highly effective at containing or deflecting noise pollution, the coated finish is available in any BS or RAL colour, also several wood-grain effects, hence ensuring they blend naturally in with the surrounding environment. Anti graffiti treatment is also an available option on installations sited in unprotected public places.
Evadx A.I.R. Modular Acoustic Barrier Panel System.
- Low frequency absorptive façade pattern
- Generally used for HGV & Road traffic, mechanical plant and general low frequency noise emission reductions
The figure shows the results of the laboratory tests of the acoustic performance of the anti-noise barrier. The SPL difference increases with the signal frequency.

Figure 1: Acoustic performance of the anti-noise barrier
The typical test performance of the acoustic panel at 250 Hz (attenuation = 42 dB)
Near field absorption @ 1metre is 10 – 12dB

All Products are manufactured to EN ISO 9001 in our production Facilities and are independently tested and certified by Sheffield University, Department of Acoustic Engineering.
Acoustic & Reflective Barrier Product Review
Three types of absorptive barrier systems are available, coated steel, galvanised steel and ‘Eco’ and two reflective barrier types are available: coated and methacrylate (acrylic). The panels form parts of an integrated steelwork support structure with interlocking torsional integrity are supported on I-section steel columns. Curved or ‘sectional design’ structural steel sections and modular panel systems can be supplied against architectural or building requirements. Other materials of manufacture, aluminium, GRP and fully coated application specific, steelwork finishes are available on request.
